Pretty Weather is a lightweight weather dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you search for a place, use your current location, view forecasts, or contact the site operator.

We collect only the information needed to provide the weather experience.

• Location and search information: city names, search terms, selected places, and coordinates you provide or allow through your browser when requesting a forecast.
• Approximate current-location data: if you choose the current-location feature, your browser asks for permission before sharing coordinates. The service rounds coordinates for reverse geocoding where practical and uses them to return a nearby city and forecast.
• Local preferences: the site may store your last selected city name or region in your browser's local storage so the forecast can reopen to that place.
• Technical information: hosting providers and API systems may process standard request data such as IP number or network identifier, browser type, device information, pages requested, timestamps, and error logs.
• Communications: if you contact us, we may receive your name, reply details, and message contents.

We use information to operate, maintain, protect, and improve the site.

• To search for cities and show current, hourly, daily, air quality, UV, wind, sunrise, and sunset information.
• To remember your last selected city on your own device.
• To troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, secure the service, and understand whether the site is working correctly.
• To respond to questions or requests that you send to us.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce site terms when necessary.

The site uses third-party services to provide forecasts, air quality, city search, and reverse geocoding. These services may receive the city search, coordinates, or request information needed to answer a weather or location lookup.

Weather and air quality data is provided through Open-Meteo, including air quality information that may include CAMS data. Current-location city lookup uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim. These providers operate independently and may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Pretty Weather does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, account cookies, or payment cookies in the current app. The site may use browser local storage to remember your last city. You can clear that stored city by clearing site data in your browser.

We do not sell personal information. We may share or make information available only in limited situations.

• With service providers that host the site, process API requests, deliver weather or geocoding data, or help keep the service running.
• If required by law, legal process, public authorities, or to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the site.
• In connection with a merger, transfer, financing, acquisition, or similar business transaction involving the site.

The last selected city stored in local storage remains on your device until you clear it or the browser removes it. Current-location requests are intended for live lookup and are not intentionally used to build a location history. Server, hosting, security, and error logs may be retained for the period needed to operate, secure, debug, and maintain the site.

You control several privacy choices directly in your browser.

• You can decline or revoke browser location permission at any time.
• You can search by city instead of using current location.
• You can clear local storage or site data to remove the saved city from your device.
• You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help where applicable law gives you those rights.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the site. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

The site may be operated from, hosted in, or accessed from the United States and other countries. By using the site, you understand that information may be processed in countries that may have privacy rules different from those where you live.
